Recent Work
Woodland Moss
For the last few years, I've been making paintings in egg tempera in addition to watercolor on vellum. The subjects are not strictly botanical and the place where I find myself most comfortable is creating something that resembles a painting from a different century. I began by painting a background that resembles vellum. The moss details were kept loose and painterly. A small piece at 5 x 7 inches, this was painted in 2020 and now is part of a private collection.
